FIFA World Cup trophy unveiled in New York

The FIFA World Cup trophy was unveiled in the New York offices of Twitter on Monday (April 16), a stop on its international tour ahead of the World Cup.

FIFA ambassador Victoria Lopyreva said Russians were excited to host soccer’s “biggest football celebration” this summer and hoped visitors would get a taste of the real Russia.

The trophy tour, sponsored by Coca-Cola, will reach 91 cities before it arrives in Russia. The World Cup kicks off on June 14.
