The Lone Star Series at Home

By Lauren Leal
Leave it to George Springer to get the bats going in the bottom of the 3rd inning by hitting it to the fences scoring their first run. Next homer is hit by former Astro, Hunter Pence with 2 RBI’s as Texas went ahead in the game 2-1.
In the bottom of the 5th inning, Alex Bregman popped it up to center with bases loaded, Marisnick runs home to tie up the game 2-2.
Astros go ahead of the Rangers in the bottom of the sixth, 3-2. Michael Brantley steps in the lineup for Jake Marisnick at the bottom of the 8th inning as bases are loaded. Brantley gets walked driving Correa in making the score 4-2 Astros.
Amazing catch by right fielder, Josh Roddick as he gets Pence out in the top of the 9th. Astros hold the Rangers in the 9th inning, with the final 4-2. The Astros look to do it all again in the 4 game series as it continues tonight at Minute Maid Park.
