Names of Deputies Sandeep Dhaliwal and Omar Diaz to be added to Harris County Fallen Peace Officers Memorial Garden

The names of the two most recent Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies to lose their lives while on duty will be added to the Harris County Fallen Peace Officers Memorial Garden. 

Deputy Omar Diaz, 39, died on July 6 after suffering a pulmonary embolism while working at a crime scene.

Deputy Sandeep Dhaliwal, 42, was shot to death while conducting a traffic stop on Sept. 27.

The Fallen Peace Officers Memorial Garden is maintained by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Foundation, which has arranged to have Diaz’s and Dhaliwal’s names engraved on a stone monument.

When: Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. 
Where: The Harris County Fallen Peace Officers Memorial Garden is located outside the Crime Stoppers of Houston building, 3001 Main Street.
