HOUSTON – Amid the breakout of the COVID-19 coronavirus, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo officials have confirmed that they have decided to cancel the remaining activities for the event.

They held an emergency meeting Wednesday morning at the NRG stadium and City Hall. At noon they are expected to hold a news press conference to provide more details on their decision. 

The Rodeo carnival and shows are scheduled to run through March 22.
