Trump says he tested ‘positively toward negative’ on latest coronavirus test

U.S. President Donald Trump became tongue tied as he tried to convey the negative results of his latest test for COVID-19 on Thursday (May 21).

“I tested very positively in another sense…I tested positively toward negative, right? So…I tested perfectly this morning, meaning I tested negative,” he told reporters on the White House lawn.

Trump also said he would be taking hydroxychloroquine for one more day as a preventative medicine despite medical warnings.

“I’m still here, I’m still here,” he joked.

Trump made the remarks as he departed for the U.S. election battleground state of Michigan to visit a Ford Motor Co plant.
